Hamak Sells 8 Bitcoins to Fund Ghana Gold Project
Hamak Strategy Limited has sold 8 Bitcoin to fund its Akoko Gold Project in Ghana. The sale, which took place on September 18, generated £482,516, with each Bitcoin selling for approximately $61,563 (£48,251).
The company retained 18 Bitcoin in its treasury, valued at £1,075,000.
The proceeds from the sale will be used to fund a Preliminary Economic Assessment at Akoko, retire some existing debt, and provide working capital. Hamak views this as a necessary measure to address short-term funding needs without changing its strategy of combining gold exploration with Bitcoin treasury holdings.
