Hamster Kombat Unleashes Hamster Network on TON Layer-2
The Hamster Kombat game has launched its own layer-2 blockchain called Hamster Network on The Open Network (TON). This new infrastructure is designed to provide a scalable platform for games and applications, taking advantage of Telegram's massive user base of nearly 1 billion people.
The Hamster Network aims to facilitate low-cost transactions and fast processing speeds, making it easier for developers to create and port decentralized applications (DApps) on the TON ecosystem. The network utilizes the TON Virtual Machine to ensure compatibility with smart contracts.
Hamster Network has already introduced several infrastructure components, including a decentralized exchange (DEX), wallet, and bridge for transferring assets. A program called Hamster Boost is also underway to test the network and identify potential issues.
The launch of Hamster Network comes as the HMSTR token associated with Hamster Kombat faces challenges. Despite hitting an all-time low, the token has seen a 17% increase in value and is currently priced at $0.0017, down 76% from its peak last September.
