South Korea's Hanwha Investment & Securities has developed a tokenized securities platform that supports multiple networks, including Avalanche (AVAX) and Hyperledger Besu. The platform was designed to be flexible and adaptable to different blockchain ecosystems.

The project marks a significant step forward for Hanwha Group in its investments across blockchain and tokenization businesses. The company has accumulated a 9.6% stake in Securitize (SECZ) over several years, making it the largest shareholder of the firm. Additionally, Hanwha Investment & Securities invested $22.3 million in Digital Asset, the operator of Canton Network.

The platform's development comes ahead of regulatory changes scheduled for February 4, 2027, when amendments recognizing distributed ledgers as legally valid securities registers are set to take effect in South Korea. The Financial Services Commission (FSC) has outlined a three-stage roadmap for implementing the incoming securities token amendments.
