Hanwha Investment and Securities, a subsidiary of the $200 billion Hanwha Group in South Korea, is building a tokenized securities platform on the Avalanche network. According to an announcement from Avalanche's official account on September 7, 2026, the new platform will connect traditional finance infrastructure to Avalanche.

Hanwha has chosen Avalanche as the settlement layer for its tokenized assets. This move adds another large Korean institution to Avalanche's growing list of tokenization partners.

South Korea is pushing forward with plans to bring all types of securities onchain by 2027, with regulators unveiling a framework that will recognize blockchain records as legal securities registers.

Avalanche has built a track record with Korean institutions over the past year, including partnerships tied to tokenized funds and stablecoins. The company's price held steady at $8.05 after the announcement, up 2.55 percent over the prior day.
