Harvard Holds Steady on Bitcoin ETF Stake, Bets Big on SpaceX
Harvard University's investment management company, Harvard Management Co., disclosed its latest 13F filing on Friday. The report revealed that Harvard's Bitcoin ETF position remained unchanged in the second quarter.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) stake was valued at $101.35 million based on its price of 33.29 as of June 30. This represents a significant decrease from its previous value and makes up only 2.38% of Harvard's portfolio, down from being the top position.
Harvard first acquired the ETF during the second quarter of 2025 and has maintained it since then. The company also disclosed no new stake in the spot Ethereum (ETH) ETF after liquidating its previous position entirely in the first quarter.
In a surprising move, Harvard revealed a substantial $2.2 billion stake in SpaceX, making it the company's largest holding by far. This is a significant shift from their previous top positions, including Amazon.com, Inc., Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd., and Nvidia Corp.
