Hashed Launches $300 Million Digital Asset Private Credit Fund
Hashed, a prominent crypto investment firm, has launched a new $300 million digital asset private credit fund. The fund was established by Mohamed Hamdy, a UAE investor and co-founder of Further Ventures, with Thoro Capital Management serving as the management partner. Thoro will provide dollar-denominated loans to digital asset institutions through stablecoin settlement, with Hashed being the primary backer.
The new fund aims to address key financing bottlenecks in the institutional digital assets space, where traditional banks are constrained by regulatory capital requirements and existing crypto lenders rely on collateralized debt issuance. This results in profitable, audited infrastructure companies needing short-term, expensive loans backed by collateral.
Hashed asserts that tokenized private credit has become the largest reality-world asset (RWA) category with cumulative online disbursements exceeding $1.4 trillion, dwarfing a traditional private credit market of over $30 trillion.
