HashKey Exchange Lists Franklin Templeton's Tokenized Treasury Fund
HashKey Exchange is expanding its offerings to professional investors in Asia by listing Franklin Templeton's tokenized U.S. government money market fund, grBENJI. The fund will be available on HashKey's Earn channel starting August 24 and primarily invests in U.S. government money market instruments and U.S. dollar cash assets using blockchain-based infrastructure.
The partnership between HashKey Exchange and Franklin Templeton marks a significant milestone for the Asian digital asset landscape, according to Haiyang Ru, CEO of HashKey Exchange BG. The deal gives Franklin Templeton access to 'their rapidly expanding client base of digital-native banking and wealth platforms alongside established institutional clients.'
Franklin Templeton's tokenization platform, BENJI, currently operates across several blockchains including Stellar, Polygon, Avalanche, and BNB Chain. The company manages $1.80 trillion in assets as of July 31.
The introduction of grBENJI on HashKey Exchange follows the trend of regulated yield products backed by real-world assets, which has seen exchanges across Asia competing to offer such products. If both companies follow through with their plans, this collaboration could expand into other tokenized products in the future.
