Hayes Sees Bitcoin Reaching New Heights as Central Bank Liquidity Boosts Cryptocurrency
BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes thinks Bitcoin is well-positioned to benefit from government intervention in bond markets. In an interview, Hayes said that cryptocurrency remains sensitive to global liquidity expansion and will be a big beneficiary of increased central bank money printing.
Hayes pointed out that U.S. Treasury support for longer-dated bonds resembles a softer form of yield-curve control, signaling growing concern over high borrowing costs. He expects persistent bond-market pressure to eventually force policymakers to expand liquidity.
Hayes believes the U.S., Japan, and China may rely on balance-sheet expansion, which would further boost Bitcoin's price. 'The most responsive asset in human history to central bank money printing is Bitcoin,' Hayes said, urging investors to 'get on the fastest horse.'
