Hayes Sees Bitcoin Soaring to $1M and Ethereum Skyrocketing to $10K
Arthur Hayes, CIO of Maelstrom, believes that Bitcoin's price will reach $1 million by 2030 and has a strong rally predicted for late 2027 or early 2028. According to Hayes, an AI investment bubble could trigger the next major liquidity wave. He thinks governments and central banks might respond with trillions of dollars in liquidity if massive data center investments fail to generate expected revenues.
This scenario would create a favorable backdrop for Bitcoin's fixed supply, according to Hayes. The CIO remains bullish on Ethereum as well, predicting it will rise from around $2.73K to $10K by the end of the year. This target seems achievable, he says.
The market is already reflecting this bullish sentiment, with Bitcoin surging to ~$85K and Ethereum's price rallying sharply. Crypto-linked stocks are also experiencing a surge, with Strategy MSTR up ~4% in premarket trading; Coinbase Global COIN gained 2.79%; Robinhood Markets HOOD rose nearly 6%; while Circle Internet Group CRCL, Bitmine BMNR, and Hut 8 HUT each climbed ~3%.
