Hayes Sees ETH Soaring to $10K by Year-End Amid Ethereum ETF Frenzy
Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes made a bold prediction about Ethereum's future price. In an interview at KBW 2026 in Seoul, he stated that he expects ETH to hit $10,000 by the end of the year.
This is more than three times its current price near $2,700 and roughly a 3.7-fold increase from where it stands today. Ethereum is still trading about 46% below its all-time high of $4,946.
Hayes cited the token's security as a major reason for his optimism. He noted that Ethereum has the largest market capitalization among layer one networks and remains the most secure.
The investor also acknowledged that Ethereum has struggled to keep pace with other networks at times, particularly when it comes to narratives. He pointed out how Solana captured the meme coin narrative and rose quickly, while Ethereum was slower due to competing blockchains taking some of its activity.
