The price of HBAR dropped by 2% after an unverified claim that it would be integrated into the US Department of Transportation's (USDOT) system.

A patent application filed by a USDOT official included Hedera as one possible technology for a nationwide payment and settlement system, but this does not confirm any actual adoption or deployment by USDOT.

Despite the setback, HBAR has still managed to recover from its August lows near $0.065, and buyers may be able to return to around $0.075 if selling persists.
