HBAR Surges on Institutional News and Breakout

Hedera's HBAR token surged by 3.10 percentage points over the last 38 hours, driven by a combination of institutional news and technical breakouts.

On July 31, Hedera announced its integration with Asseto Access' platform, providing institutional users with access to the Hedera mainnet for token issuance, lifecycle management, trading, and settlement. This move positions Hedera as part of an institutional tokenization solution rather than a standalone L1.

The announcement highlights that the infrastructure is ready for scale, with Hashgraph's CEO mentioning tokenizing 'at scale' on this stack. However, concrete adoption metrics and transaction volumes are not yet detailed.

Renewed focus on the Canary HBAR ETF also contributed to the surge. The ETF holds approximately 704.35 million HBAR worth around $47.8 million and has a sponsor fee of 0.95%. While the ETF's performance has been negative since launch, it provides registered access to Hedera's network, which is governed by firms like Google and IBM.
