Hedera DEX Volume Rises 55% as Network Activity Surges
Hedera’s on-chain activity has surged in recent days, with a notable spike in decentralized exchange (DEX) volume. According to DefiLlama, Hedera’s DEX trading volume jumped 55% over the past week, reaching approximately $49.32 million. This rise in activity indicates increased usage of the network rather than mere speculative interest in the token.
The network also saw a nearly 5% increase in total value locked (TVL) over the past 24 hours, suggesting fresh capital flowing into Hedera’s DeFi ecosystem. The most active day during this period was September 29, with over $17 million in DEX trading volume processed, led by SaucerSwap.
Higher DEX volume and rising TVL signal stronger network health, as they reflect active engagement with liquidity pools and decentralized applications. For HBAR holders, this trend is encouraging, especially amid growing interest in Hedera’s AI, enterprise use cases, and ETF demand. If this momentum continues, Hedera could establish a more robust growth trajectory in its DeFi ecosystem.
