Hedera's commitment to enterprise open source has just gotten a major boost. The company has transferred its CLPR (Cross-Ledger Protocol) codebase to the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust division under the LFDT Lab framework.

The move marks a significant step towards enabling bridgeless interoperability between independent distributed ledgers. Unlike conventional models, CLPR uses direct cryptographic state proofs to facilitate communication between separate ledgers.

This infrastructure aims to mitigate exploit risks associated with asset bridges and eliminates the need for locked liquidity in custodial contracts. The integration of CLPR into LFDT Labs allows external developers to audit, test, and deploy the framework directly from its official GitHub repositories.
