HIVE Digital Technologies has made significant moves to scale its global AI platform. On September 10, 2026, the company announced that Mark Volk, an AI and HPC veteran, has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Revenue, to lead its global go-to-market strategy and commercialization of GPU-powered AI infrastructure.
This appointment deepens BUZZ's commercial leadership as HIVE shifts from building infrastructure to scaling a global AI platform across various markets. Notably, the company is evaluating a wind-down of its Swedish Bitcoin mining facilities, which contributed less than 5% of August daily revenue, to repurpose that capacity into higher-value AI and HPC applications.
HIVE has also achieved a significant milestone, surpassing $1 million in daily revenue from hashrate services and GPU cloud operations on August 21, 2026. This translates to approximately 12 Bitcoin per day or roughly 2% of global network output, alongside around $100,000 in daily GPU cloud revenue.
