HIVE's $79M Q2 Revenue Clouded by $80M Swedish Tax Dispute
HIVE Digital Technologies, a Bitcoin miner, has missed its deadline to file its quarterly report for Q2. The company cited delays in accounting and disclosures related to contested Swedish value-added tax assessments as the reason.
Preliminary revenue figures show HIVE's Q2 revenue rose approximately 73% from $45.6 million a year earlier to around $79 million.
The increase is mainly due to higher Bitcoin rewards from increased hashrate and revenue recognition under a high-performance computing contract.
HIVE warned of potential losses, particularly due to VAT-related charges, but the amount of these losses remains unquantified. The company's fiscal 2026 annual filing disclosed Swedish VAT assessments totaling approximately $80.5 million.
