Holmes: Bitcoin Miners Hold Key to AI Revolution
Frank Holmes, executive chairman of HIVE Digital Technologies, believes Bitcoin miners already own the necessary infrastructure to transition into large-scale AI data centers. According to Holmes, GPUs that once mined Ethereum can be repurposed for AI computing, and existing mining sites in Paraguay and Canada can be converted into AI compute factories.
The shift in ETF inflows has transformed Bitcoin from a 'fear trade' to a 'love trade', Holmes notes. This change in sentiment is driven by macroeconomic risks, including the potential for $100 trillion of additional money printing on top of the already massive $40 trillion printed during the COVID-19 era.
Other catalysts for crypto adoption and mining as tier-one infrastructure include the $19 billion Binance liquidation and the $350 trillion global money supply. Additionally, China's lending market is growing rapidly, with $1.4 trillion in outstanding loans.
