Hong Kong has recognized Nasdaq-listed Solana Company (HSDT) as a strategic enterprise under a government initiative designed to foster economic growth. The company was selected in the seventh batch of businesses by Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises (OASES) and is the only blockchain infrastructure firm added to the program in 2026. The government recently confirmed the inclusion of 18 new enterprises, bringing the total to 142.
A spokesperson for Solana Company told Cointelegraph that the designation provides benefits such as a single point of contact across government agencies, expedited pathways for recruiting overseas talent, and introductions to local institutional partners. The company operates staking and validator infrastructure and advises financial institutions on blockchain adoption. It also holds Solana (SOL) as part of its digital asset treasury strategy.
Solana Company plans to establish validator operations in Hong Kong under the Pacific Backbone initiative, which aims to build a low-latency blockchain infrastructure network across the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s inclusion in the strategic enterprise program is expected to support its expansion and integration into Hong Kong’s growing blockchain ecosystem.
