Hoskinson Disputes $1.81 Midnight Token ATH
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has disputed CoinMarketCap's claim that Midnight's token NIGHT reached an all-time high (ATH) of $1.81, stating it never genuinely traded at that level.
Hoskinson argued that the reported ATH resulted from the initial price-discovery process during launch in December 2025 and not sustained market trading.
No one bought NIGHT at the purported $1.81 level, suggesting treating it as a legitimate ATH could give a misleading picture of the token's historical market performance.
Hoskinson drew comparisons to a hypothetical $2 trillion valuation reading for Zcash, stating extreme figures recorded during launch should not be treated as genuine market valuations.
