Hoskinson Sees Cardano-Ethereum Integration Possible Within Months
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has reiterated his long-term ambition for ADA to become the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, despite recent price declines and external criticism. Speaking on The Breakdown with David Gokhshtein, Hoskinson said that a working technical integration with Ethereum is possible within months, but emphasized that it would be a purely technical collaboration requiring no financial deals or apologies over past disputes.
Hoskinson suggested that Ethereum developers examine Cardano's UTXO-based transaction model to process smart contracts more efficiently across both blockchains. He estimated that direct engineering work could produce a functioning network connection within months if both groups join forces, which would give Cardano technology broader exposure and demonstrate the value of its core architectural ideas.
In response to criticism from ARK Invest researcher Lorenzo Valente, who questioned Cardano's ongoing relevance in the industry, Hoskinson urged token holders to focus on long-term technology goals rather than short-term price movements. He also highlighted that Cardano is building internal tools to handle more transactions per second, including Ouroboros Leios and Hydra, which aim to increase total network capacity.
