Hoskinson Sees Crypto Growth Through Real-World Assets and Regulation
Charles Hoskinson believes that crypto prices may need another three to six months of pressure before catching up with industry progress. He remains bullish on the long-term outlook, predicting that the next major cycle will be driven by real-world assets (RWAs), Web 2.5 infrastructure, regulation, and billions of new users.
Hoskinson compares current market conditions to a bear market's later stages, noting that the Crypto Fear and Greed Index is around 24. He points out that Bitcoin ETFs have recorded roughly $4.5 billion in net outflows despite holding around $80 billion in assets under management.
Despite these challenges, Hoskinson sees opportunities for growth, particularly with regulated companies connecting traditional businesses to blockchain technology. He names Canton, Ripple, Circle, Tether, and Binance as examples of this trend.
Hoskinson predicts that over the next three to five years, more than $10 trillion in RWAs could enter the ecosystem, potentially bringing 1 to 2 billion new users. However, he warns that the industry must adapt to changing infrastructure needs, including compliance, legal contracts, and jurisdictional changes.
