Hoskinson Slams Trump, Says Harris Admin Would Have Been Worse for Crypto

Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has made some blunt comments about President Donald Trump and his administration's handling of cryptocurrency. Speaking in an AMA on X, Hoskinson called Trump 'a bad, disgusting, deplorable human being' due to various reasons including the Iran war and corruption. However, he noted that a Harris administration would have been worse for crypto because Gary Gensler would still be running the SEC.

Hoskinson stated that while he dislikes many of Trump's policies, he believes Paul Atkins is a good SEC chair who understands the industry and wants it to flourish. He also criticized what he described as 'death cult loyalty' on both sides, saying that people should not blindly support either party.

On Cardano-related news, Hoskinson mentioned that the first beta wave of Midnight City will start this week with thousands of users entering in tranches over the coming days. He also highlighted the progress made on Laos, a Layer 2 scaling solution for Cardano, which is live on the Musashi testnet and expected to go mainnet in November.
