Hoskinson Urges Completion of Leios Upgrade Amid ADA Price Rebound Signal
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is urging the blockchain's community to complete its ongoing governance and scalability work. He believes that finishing what they started will position the network for future expansion.
Hoskinson specifically mentioned the Leios upgrade, which he frames as essential to Cardano's decentralized governance. The update has been in development for some time, but it still requires a hard fork to activate. Hoskinson sees this work as completing the 'last mile of governance' and setting the stage for autonomous institutions that can refine themselves over time.
The founder also highlighted momentum in two areas he believes will reshape Cardano's economic footprint: the RealFi protocol and the Pogun Bitcoin DeFi initiative. The former is projected to channel billions into the ecosystem, while the latter has secured $600 million in preliminary funding commitments.
However, ADA's market performance tells a different story. It has shed roughly 41% of its value in 2026 and slipped out of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Technical analysts see a potential catalyst forming, with market analyst Ali Charts flagging a fresh buy signal on ADA's daily chart.
The signal arrives at a critical moment for Cardano, as both the Leios upgrade and the RealFi platform deployment are scheduled for later this year. Hoskinson remains optimistic, insisting that Cardano is 'not out of the game.' Whether this technical setup can offset a brutal year for ADA remains an open question.
