Hut 8 has acquired two data center sites in West Texas from Poolin Technology for $140 million, nearly tripling Thor CALAP LLC's initial offer of $52 million.

The Pyote and Tarbush facilities had a combined 100 MW of power allocation for Bitcoin mining before operations ceased. Hut 8 is expanding its portfolio with this purchase, which adds to the company's existing infrastructure.

Pollin Technology filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2026 due to $173 million in prepetition obligations, leaving customer funds stuck. The once-prominent mining pool suspended wallet access in 2022.
