HYPE Price Surges Past ATH, Targets Next Milestone at $90.16
HYPE price has made significant gains in recent weeks, breaking its previous all-time high of $76.83 in late August and currently trading around $84.12. This breakout is impressive on charts, but it also comes with a familiar problem: there isn't much historical resistance above.
This lack of resistance can contribute to momentum, but it also makes the next reaction harder to gauge. If HYPE price continues to climb, $90.16 becomes the next notable target. The question is whether buyers can maintain enough pressure to push through this level or if traders start taking profits as the token approaches the $90 area.
Perpetual volume reached $19.4 billion on August 21, roughly 2.2 times its trailing weekday baseline. Spot volume hit $462 million, around 4.1 times its own baseline. These are serious spikes, but they aren't records. The June 5 surge was larger, with $20.2 billion in perpetual volume and $576 million in spot volume.
The elevated volume confirms that trading activity is stretched, but it doesn't automatically reveal whether the next major move is higher or lower. This leaves HYPE price at an interesting crossroads: $76.83 has become the key support after the ATH breakout, while $90.16 is the next upside level.
