A whale trader known as 'watershedpath' holds a massive long position in HYPE, the native token of Hyperliquid, worth $111 million. This is the largest single long onchain for this token.

The trader has held onto this position for nearly a year and is currently up $58 million from the initial investment. Last week, 'watershedpath' withdrew $18.5 million in margin, which increased his liquidation price to $65.

This move comes as Hyperliquid-linked entities push US regulators to allow energy perpetual contracts, signaling potential expansion into DeFi and market demand for HYPE token.
