Hyperliquid Bridge Surpasses EigenCloud in Total Value Locked
Hyperliquid Bridge has surpassed EigenCloud in total value locked (TVL), a significant shift in the DeFi infrastructure landscape. According to data from DefiLlama, Hyperliquid Bridge now holds $6.53 billion in TVL compared to EigenCloud's $6.37 billion. This milestone marks a major re-sorting among top DeFi protocols, with Hyperliquid Bridge ranking 9th out of 146 protocols with over $200 million in TVL.
Hyperliquid Bridge's dominance can be attributed to its innovative token bridge solution, Hyperswitch, which allows users to move tokens from the Ethereum mainnet to another chain with a single transaction. This convenience and flexibility have garnered significant user trust and liquidity, solidifying HYPE as a preferred choice for token custody.
The TVL rotation among DeFi protocols is a notable trend, with top 10 protocols accounting for over 60% of total aggregated DeFi TVL. Hyperliquid's growth can be seen as part of this larger trend towards application-specific L1s and vertically integrated exchanges. However, the protocol's long-term sustainability will depend on its ability to maintain trading volumes and adapt to evolving market conditions.
