Hyperliquid Challenges Bitcoin's Dominance in Cryptocurrency Market
Bitcoin has been the top cryptocurrency since its launch in 2009, with a market cap of $1.7 trillion, nearly five times that of Ethereum.
The question remains whether any other cryptocurrency can surpass Bitcoin's market cap within the next five years.
Assuming Bitcoin continues to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 34% over the past decade, its value will reach $7 trillion by the end of that period, with a single Bitcoin selling for around $350,000.
Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong predicts Bitcoin might trade as high as $400,000 by the end of 2030.
To surpass Bitcoin's market cap, a rival cryptocurrency would need to reach over $7 trillion in five years.
Zcash, with a market cap of $26 billion, and NEAR Protocol, with a market cap of $6 billion, are growing rapidly but might not be able to catch up to Bitcoin at this rate.
However, Hyperliquid, an AI token with a market cap of $23 billion, is surging 267% year-to-date and could potentially surpass Bitcoin's market cap by the end of five years if it continues its stratospheric growth.
