Hyperliquid DEX Combines Speed and Transparency in Decentralized Trading
Hyperliquid is a decentralized exchange (DEX) built on its own high-performance Layer-1 blockchain, HyperEVM. This platform combines the best features of centralized exchanges with decentralization to offer traders a comprehensive interface for derivatives trading.
The key features of Hyperliquid include an on-chain order book, gas-free transactions, high leverage trading, liquidity vaults, cross-chain compatibility, and pro-level trading tools. The exchange operates at a rapid pace, processing about 200,000 transactions per second using its custom consensus algorithm, HyperBFT.
Hyperliquid's design focuses on providing traders with low fees and speed. It offers up to 40x leverage on perpetual futures contracts, allowing experienced traders to amplify their positions beyond what their actual trading capital can carry. The platform also features protocol vaults, such as the Hyperliquidity Provider (HLP) Vault, which acts as a market maker and liquidation mechanism.
The team behind Hyperliquid includes co-founders Jeff Yan and Iliensinc, both Harvard alumni with strong backgrounds in finance and blockchain technology. The project prioritizes community, allocating 70% of its tokens to users and redistributing all revenue back to the community.
