Hyperliquid Lending Launches with $269M in Assets Borrowed
Hyperliquid lending has gone live on HyperCore, allowing users to borrow USDC and USDT against HYPE or BTC collateral. On its first day, the feature saw $269 million in assets borrowed through manual borrowing.
The platform's design enables suppliers to earn interest tied to market utilization, while borrowers pay interest rates that adjust hourly based on utilization levels. The Hyperliquid lending system includes liquidation controls tied to collateral values and account health.
HYPE has traded near $88 following the launch, approaching its September 6 record high of $89.61 after gaining about 8% in the previous session.
