Hyperliquid Secures $14.58 Million USDC Reserve Yield for HYPE Buybacks
Hyperliquid has secured its first $14.58 million payment in USDC under its AQAv2 reserve yield framework. The funds, generated from USDC reserves over a 30-day period, will be directed to the Assistance Fund for HYPE token buybacks.
The payment represents a significant milestone for Hyperliquid, providing an additional revenue stream alongside trading fees. Under the framework, around 90% of the cost-adjusted reserve yield from USDC supply is shared with the protocol.
This mechanism links USDC reserve yield directly to the Assistance Fund, enabling the allocated portion to be used for purchasing HYPE tokens. The first payment marks the initial distribution through the AQAv2 framework, highlighting its potential to bolster the protocol's financial stability.
