Hyperliquid Touts Pre-IPO Markets to SEC Amid Hype Breakout Bid
The Hyperliquid Policy Center and trade[XYZ] have submitted a proposal to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to allow American investors access to pre-IPO perpetual markets.
These instruments would provide price exposure before a company lists publicly without granting shares or investor rights. The proposed products are designed solely to offer exposure to anticipated price movements ahead of a public listing, not equivalent to owning pre-IPO equity.
The Hyperliquid Policy Center cited SpaceX as an example of the benefits these markets can bring, saying its pre-IPO perpetual market was priced at $135 before the company listed at $150. The organization argued that a new SEC framework would allow both American investors and issuers to benefit from price discovery offered by pre-IPO markets.
Hyperventilating over a potential breakout above the psychological $60 level, Hyperliquid's native token HYPE trades at approximately $58.73, retaining a constructive technical outlook. The token remains above its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) with all three indicators below the current price providing potential support.
