Hyperliquid's AQAv2 Upgrade Bolsters HYPE Buyback Program with $900 Million Engine

Hyperliquid's AQAv2 upgrade is now live after receiving approval from 69.08% of validators, according to the platform.

The mechanism directs 90% of yield on roughly $5 billion in USDC reserves toward HYPE buybacks, a significant boost to the token's repurchase program.

The Hyperliquid Assistance Fund has already spent about $1.1 billion acquiring 45.07 million HYPE tokens at an average cost near $24.90 each.

Circle and Coinbase are behind the technical deployment and cross-chain infrastructure, respectively, as part of a deal struck with Hyperliquid in May.
