Hyperliquid's Price Surges Past Three All-Time Highs Amid Growing Adoption and Borrowing Feature
Hyperliquid's (HYPE) price has reached three all-time highs in one week, with a new record of $95.17 set on September 21, 2026.
This surge comes after the platform launched manual borrowing on September 18, allowing users to pledge HYPE or Bitcoin as collateral to borrow USDC or USDT stablecoins. On the first day, users borrowed $269 million, with holders able to access up to 65% of their token value without selling their HYPE.
The feature reduces selling pressure and keeps tokens locked in the system, with borrowed funds coming from suppliers on the network rather than platform-level credit.
Kraken's parent company Payward announced plans to bring HYPE perpetual futures to US traders via Bitnomial, a CFTC-regulated exchange it owns. However, approval is still pending and could take 10-12 months.
