Hyperscale Data Brings Robot Manufacturing to Michigan Amid National Security Concerns
Hyperscale Data is converting its Dowagiac facility from Bitcoin mining to an AI data center and robotics campus.
The company, through its subsidiary Omnipresent Robotics, has partnered with AGIBOT, a Shanghai-based manufacturer, to assemble and program humanoid robots in southwest Michigan.
Hyperscale assembled its first humanoid robot at the facility in July and plans to eventually operate up to 100 of the 143 ordered units.
The company will use the robots for industrial and hospitality work, including picking and packing boxes in factories and delivering food and beverages.
