Hyperscale Data Ditches Bitcoin Mining for AI Expansion
Hyperscale Data has announced that it is halting all Bitcoin mining at its Michigan data center to prepare for deploying AI infrastructure. The company has signed a master services agreement (MSA) with a California neocloud provider, which covers an initial 20 MW deployment with potential expansion up to 52 MW.
This represents only about 20% of the facility's planned 340 MW capacity, leaving room for further AI data center growth. The company expects this shift to AI computing will enhance its market value and operational focus, with additional gains from selling Bitcoin mining equipment.
