Hyperscale Data Spins Out Bitcoin Mining Ops into New Subsidiary
Hyperscale Data, Inc., the company behind GPUS, has announced plans to spin out its Bitcoin mining operations into a new subsidiary called Patriot BTC. This move aims to separate the company's mining assets from its AI data center strategy in Michigan.
The initial transfer will include the Montana data center and miners, which could help isolate the mining economics and risks from the rest of the business. A public listing for Patriot BTC is being explored, but no structure or timeline has been approved yet.
This strategic separation may change the valuation framework for Hyperscale Data's shares, potentially unlocking the sum-of-parts value for investors. However, execution risk remains as a board-approved structure and terms are still pending.
