Hyperscale Data to resume cryptocurrency mining for court-ordered tests

Hyperscale Data has announced plans to temporarily resume cryptocurrency mining at its facility in Dowagiac, Michigan, starting on Wednesday. The company had previously halted Bitcoin mining operations at the site on September 1. The restart is necessitated by a court-ordered sound test tied to a lawsuit filed by neighboring residents.

The testing, which Hyperscale Data says should take no more than 24 hours, is required to address concerns raised in the legal action. The company noted that additional testing might be needed, depending on the results. The City of Dowagiac is not involved in the lawsuit and did not mandate the testing.

Hyperscale Data has pledged to keep local officials and the public informed about any updates regarding the timing and duration of further testing. The announcement was made in a letter to Dowagiac Mayor Patrick Bakeman and city council members.
