Hyundai Card's Stablecoin Pilot on Avalanche Sets New Speed Record

Hyundai Card's stablecoin pilot on Avalanche has shown promise in handling corporate payments. The South Korean card issuer completed a $20,000 intercompany transfer between Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai Motor Mexico using the Avalanche blockchain.

The transfer settled in roughly seven minutes, a fraction of the three to four hours it typically takes for a traditional interbank wire.

Avalanche provided the blockchain network, while Tether supplied the USDT stablecoin. Axiym supported the payment setup.

Hyundai Card handled compliance and settlement design work in-house, treating this as an extension of its existing treasury operations.
