IBKR Stock Slides as Trading Activity Cools Amid Record Client Base Growth
Interactive Brokers Group, Inc.'s (IBKR) stock dipped 1.10% to $87.03 in July as its Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) cooled by 16% from June despite a record client base.
The number of DARTs decreased to 4.426 million, marking a 27% annual growth but a significant drop from the previous month.
However, the company's client base expanded to a record high, with 5.317 million accounts, a 34% increase from last year and a 3% rise from June.
The average commissionable orders generated $2.56 in fees, including exchange and regulatory costs, while stock trades averaged 582 shares at $2.13 per order, and equity options averaged 5.9 contracts at $3.42.
