ICE Partners with tZERO for Tokenized Security Market Infrastructure

Share

The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has partnered with tZERO to develop infrastructure for tokenized security markets. The partnership, announced on August 31, involves a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between ICE and tZERO.

tZERO will participate in the development of the Digital Trading Platform, a platform for NYSE-related tokenized securities, as its primary design partner. The platform aims to enable 24/7 trading of US-listed stocks and ETFs, as well as immediate settlement through tokenized capital.

ICE has agreed to invest in tZERO's latest funding round and acquire a license to use tZERO's blockchain patent portfolio. The portfolio consists of 103 patents across 23 patent families, covering topics such as regulatory-compliant security transfer logic, upgradable smart contracts, and corporate action processing.
