Illuminance Global Unveils Onchain Credit Infrastructure
Toronto-based fintech company Illuminance Global is expanding its financial infrastructure to support onchain credit, marking a significant shift beyond payments and settlement. Building on the success of stablecoins, Visa has extended its strategy to include onchain lending protocols, with over $694 billion in stablecoin-denominated loans moving through these platforms since 2020.
Visa's stablecoin settlement volume has surpassed a $20 billion annualized run rate, demonstrating the growing demand for blockchain-based lending infrastructure. Illuminance Global is now introducing its own credit layer through a dedicated USD 1.5 million funding pool and the Credit Leverage Strategy, allowing eligible participants to receive up to 50% additional operating capacity.
The development represents another step toward Illuminance's long-term direction: an interconnected financial architecture where digital assets, stablecoins, settlement, liquidity, and credit are seamlessly integrated.
