Illuvium Team Cuts Wages Again to Extend Runway
The Illuvium team has agreed to reduce their wages once again in an effort to preserve the studio's runway, which is now estimated to be over 12 months. According to co-founder Kieran Warwick, this latest cut will buy the company time until at least August 2027.
Warwick explained that despite generating only $9,781 in fees and revenue over the past 30 days, the company's protocol has an annualized rate of $123,194. However, the team is still struggling to make ends meet, with some estimates suggesting they have less than a year's worth of runway left.
The Illuvium protocol has also seen its treasury value drop to around $2.78 million, down from the $60 million raised in funding. The ILV token currently trades at $3.35, up 6.1% on the day and 17.9% over the week.
The company is planning to release several new products this year, including a Celebrations collection for Illuvium Beyond, Beyond Chaos, Primal Tactica, and Loadout. Warwick also mentioned that Primal Tactica will debut at Steam Next Fest in October, with Illuvium set to receive the lion's share of revenue.
