Imperial, a Solana-based trading terminal for perpetual futures, has reportedly secured $1.5 million in seed funding, according to SolanaFloor. However, the funding details remain unclear, with no investor list or deal documentation available to confirm the raise. Public statements have emphasized backing from B&J Studios rather than external venture capital, leaving the actual amount between $1.5 million and $2 million uncertain.

Imperial operates as both a trading terminal and an order router, directing trades to platforms like Phoenix, FlashTrade, GMTrade, and Jupiter Perps. The platform offers advanced features for traders, including complex order types, detailed profit and loss tracking, and a community points program that rewards trading activity. Notably, Imperial has introduced Armada, a PropAMM designed to provide low-cost liquidity while keeping all transactions on the Solana blockchain. Armada is currently rolling out with a taker fee of just 1 basis point.

The project is led by CEO Jordan Prince, who previously worked at Citadel and contributed to the Metaplex standard, and CTO Hunter Simmons, who was involved in Teleport, a project that raised $15 million. As of May 2026, Imperial has publicly indicated a preference for delaying external fundraising, making the reported $1.5 million round a potential shift in strategy. If confirmed, it would mark a notable change from their previous stance.

Armada’s low fees could attract traders, but its success depends on maintaining deep liquidity to avoid significant slippage. The platform’s dual role as a router and liquidity provider also raises questions about potential conflicts of interest with other venues. Key factors to watch include the confirmation of the seed round, Armada’s rollout progress, and the effectiveness of the points program in sustaining trading volume.
