In-Kind Minting Streamlines Tokenized Stock Process

Ondo Finance has streamlined the process of tokenizing stocks for institutional clients by eliminating the need to convert shares to cash before minting tokens.

The company, in collaboration with Alpaca's Instant Tokenization Network, now allows eligible institutions to contribute existing equity inventory directly to mint Ondo Stocks positions on Ethereum and BNB Chain.

This change reduces settlement friction for large institutions, making tokenized equities feel less like a separate market that needs to be funded from scratch.

The service is restricted to KYC and AML-verified institutional participants, and retail users are not eligible to use this feature.
