India Becomes Asia's Least-Favored Stock Market: Foreign Conviction Weakening

India has fallen to the bottom of Bank of America's Asian equity ranking after 32% of respondents were net underweight on Indian equities, according to a recent survey.

The Nifty is down about 8% in 2026, while July equity fund inflows reached ₹246.97 billion.

Despite the negative sentiment, global investors have bought more than $4 billion of Indian shares this quarter after record outflows during the first half of the year.

The RBI intervened near 96 per dollar to limit further depreciation of the rupee, which could increase Bitcoin's local value even when BTC/USD remains unchanged.
