Indian Share Market Sees Gains Trent Leads with 12.60% Surge
The Indian share market saw significant movements on October 6, 2026, with top gainers including Trent, Urban Company, Aether Industries, and PG Electroplast. Trent led the gains with a 12.60% surge to 2,906.00, followed by Urban Company at 8.75% and Aether Industries at 8.36%. Meanwhile, the market also witnessed active trading in sectors like Nifty 500, which saw a 5.03% increase in market cap, and Nifty Bank, which rose by 0.76%.
Key stocks such as RIL, HDFC Bank, and Kotak Bank were among the most actively traded by value. RIL increased by 2.67% to 1,218.32, while HDFC Bank and Kotak Bank saw gains of 0.95% and 3.83%, respectively. Honasa Consumer also experienced notable trading activity with an 8.19% rise to 478.30.
Looking ahead, several companies have scheduled important board meetings and actions. Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Fratelli Vineyards, Batliboi, and PH Capital are among those with upcoming decisions. PH Capital, in particular, announced a bonus issue of equity shares in a 10:1 ratio.
In the global market, top gainers in the S&P 500 included Corteva, Constellation Energy, and Vistra, with percentage changes ranging from 12.27% to 10.77%. Indian government bonds remained rangebound as traders anticipated a hawkish Reserve Bank of India verdict, with expectations of a 25 basis points rate hike.
Cryptocurrency markets also saw activity, with Bitcoin trading at 80,86,571 INR and Ethereum at 2,52,008 INR. Other digital assets like Tether, BNB, and XRP were actively traded as well.
