Indonesia Mandates National Bourse for Crypto Exchanges
Indonesia's national bourse has become mandatory for all crypto exchanges operating in the country. This means that to continue trading, crypto exchanges must obtain an exchange license (PFAK) from Indonesia's Commodity Future Exchange (CFX).
The CFX was created to regulate and oversee the growing demand for digital assets in Indonesia. The country has over 18 million registered crypto traders compared to only 12 million stock traders.
Crypto exchanges that have been operating since 2014 are considered 'prospective crypto exchanges' and must undergo stringent checks to become legitimate enterprises linked to the CFX.
