Indonesia's Crypto Market Sees Decline in Transactions Amid Growing Consumer Base
The Indonesian crypto market saw a decline in transaction value in July 2026, but an increase in consumer accounts.
According to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the value of crypto asset transactions decreased by around 28.2 percent compared to June 2026, reaching IDR 20.52 trillion.
Despite this decline, the number of consumer accounts for trading digital financial assets increased from 22.69 million in June to 22.93 million accounts in July 2026.
FLOQ CEO and Founder Yudhono Rawis attributed this trend to changing investor behavior due to economic pressure. He noted that people are becoming more conservative with their investments, allocating smaller amounts of funds for instruments with high volatility such as crypto assets.
