Infosys Teams Up with Chainlink to Standardize Blockchain Platform Across Banking Operations
Infosys, an Indian IT services giant listed on the NYSE as INFY, has partnered with blockchain infrastructure provider Chainlink to standardize its adoption of Chainlink's platform across its banking and payments operations. This collaboration aims to create technology channels linking established financial infrastructures with blockchain markets.
The partnership covers six core Chainlink services: Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for cross-chain transfers, Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) for workflow orchestration, Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) for compliance controls, Proof of Reserve for automated reserve audits, and Data Feeds and Data Streams for onchain market data. Infosys will integrate these services into its banking platform, which touches over 1.7 billion customer accounts globally.
The agreement does not disclose specific banks or asset managers that will deploy the integrated services first, nor does it provide commercial terms, implementation timelines, or revenue targets. The partnership follows closely on Chainlink's earlier deal with Bottomline, a leading provider of Swift services that moves over $16 trillion annually for over 600 banks.
Infosys has deep ties to global finance and already collaborates with eight of the ten largest investment banks worldwide. This partnership aims to facilitate interoperability-focused tools to unify fragmented financial platforms through secure, verifiable data exchange.
